Executive leadership programs
The Kanata North Business Association exists to foster a vibrant ecosystem where business leaders can come together, collaborate and ignite new ideas. In partnership with Stratford Group, we are pleased to host a unique series of leadership programs for where senior executives meet bi-monthly to discuss hot topics focused on their area of executive expertise. Council members stay engaged between meetings on common points of interest and contribute to initiatives that impact growth within the broader technology park community.
HR Leadership Council
Led by Annie Prescott (Stratford).
The HR Leadership Council serves as a forum for Kanata North Human Resources professionals to consult and collaborate with a community of executive peers, and to share knowledge and best practices. This group frequently aligns on priorities and goals for the purpose of tech talent attraction and retention.
R&D Leadership Council
Led by Paul Senyshen (Stratford) and supported by Guy Levesque (University of Ottawa)
R&D is an important driver of future growth and innovation and helps companies remain relevant.
The R&D Leadership Council serves as a networking group for R&D executives in Canadas largest tech park. These senior executives discuss opportunities for collaboration around common themes relevant to software, telecommunications, connectivity and 5G solutions deployments.
CEO Leadership Council
Led by Jim Roche and supported by Colleen Kelley (Stratford)
The CEO Leadership Council shares best practices among the CEO community in Canada’s largest technology hub. This select group of senior leaders meets informally to share wisdom and perspectives to elevate the local tech ecosystem and support fellow CEOs on their journey of going global. These leaders have a collective mission to elevate the awareness and profile of Canada’s largest tech park.
CIO Leadership Council
Led by AJ Harris (Stratford)
The CIO Leadership Council offers executive peers a place to dissect the challenges and opportunities of digital business and to drive critical enterprise priorities. This collaboration forum gives fellow CIOs a platform to exchange ideas and share advice to execute on key initiatives with confidence.
CFO Leadership Council
Led by Kim Butler and supported by Norm Paquette (Stratford)
The CFO Leadership Council offers the opportunity for senior finance executives leading world-class companies in Canada’s largest tech park to connect and engage on emerging issues. Finance Council executives will share best practices for scaling sustainable technology companies and review topics such as fundraising, cashflow, and financial planning. This group supports the attraction of net new members of the finance ecosystem in the region (consisting of angel investors, VC’s and financial institutions).
CMO Leadership Council
Led by Rachel Hancock (TrueCourse) and supported by Colleen Kelley (Stratford)
The CMO Leadership Council offers a forum for senior marketing executives in Canada’s largest technology park to connect and discuss the critical role marketing plays in building and growing companies. B2B technology companies face unique marketing challenges. Marketing leaders in this space will have the opportunity to learn from guest speakers and to share their experiences as they continue to be a key driving force behind their companies’ successes.
