The Kanata North Business Association announced the appointment of Veronica Farmer as their new director of operations.
According to the press release, Farmer has more than 20 years of business and communications experience and is an active member of the Kanata North business community. She has worked with Tundra Semiconductor (now IDT), Invest Ottawa, Intouch Insight and Fidus Systems, and is the founder of True Course Communications.
“Veronica is an established leader in the Ottawa business community,” said KNBA executive director Jamie Petten in the news release. “Her experience and stewardship of the Association’s operations will be critical as we lead the Kanata North business community towards the next phase of growth.”
In the news release, Farmer said her expertise with local technology companies gives her insight into the Kanata North business community.
“I have had deep experience working with a broad spectrum of members, resulting in a strong network of connections within our talented and innovative business community,” she said.
Farmer’s appointment comes at an opportune time, as she will also act as interim executive director while Petten is on maternity leave.
