A Kanata North-based video surveillance company has developed new tracking software that will help businesses comply with physical distancing rules and health and safety regulations amid the coronavirus pandemic.
March Networks revealed earlier in June that it created a tool that could track customers in real time, letting business owners know via a colour-coded system whether they were operating at a safe capacity or needed to limit the number of people in their premises.
The operating system can also integrate with thermal cameras to detect if any customers have an elevated body temperature. The system sends a notification to the owner with a photo of the person who triggered the temperature warning to assist in contact tracing and identification.
In addition to helping monitor customers coming and going, the technology is also a tool to monitor staff and ensure they are also following the proper sanitization rules while at work.
