A Kanata North-based video surveillance company is helping keep bus riders in California safe thanks to a new multimillion-dollar partnership with the state’s busiest transportation authority.
March Networks landed a $4-million contract to supply cloud monitoring services through its RideSafe software on more than 400 buses in the Golden State.
The mobile surveillance solution includes video recorders and data collection software on each bus to help achieve quicker emergency response times as well as the ability to resolve liability claims.
All video devices are monitored and updated through March Networks’ Insight Monitoring Resolution Centre – which provides customers with a complete overview of their system at work.
“By offering the most reliable video surveillance technology and secure cloud-based monitoring services, March Networks is meeting the needs of transportation customers and rapidly growing the services side of our business,” said Net Payne, chief sales and marketing officer at March Networks.
The contract also provides the California bus operator up to seven years of cloud-based monitoring services for its video network.
