Zakuska Market and Deli
For cultural food lovers, Zakuska Market and Deli is a must see. The family-run business operating out of 101 Schneider Rd Unit #3 has been open since 2021. It offers a variety of tasty food options from Poland, Ukraine, and other European countries.
According to the restaurant’s website, “the word zakuska refers to cold hors d’oeuvres, entrees, and snacks either as a course as it is. It originated and was influenced through the fusion of Slavic, Viking-Nordic and Oriental cultures.”
Voila Gluten-Free Bakeree
Gluten free options can be hard to come by, but Kanata residents don’t need to travel far to find an array of options. Voila Gluten-Free Bakeree has operated out of 4055 Carling Ave #2 since 2014.
Co-owner Julia was diagnosed with celiac disease and found it hard to find options to suit her new lifestyle. That’s when she and business partners Ryan and Kaleigh decided to open up a bakery in Oakville, Ontario, in 2009.
All products are certified gluten free, non GMO and sourced locally when possible. Items are also available for those who have allergies to wheat, barley, rye, dairy, eggs, peanuts, nuts and tree nuts.
“We strive to bake with high quality products while using natural sweeteners and low sodium and sugar,” states Voila Gluten-Free Bakeree’s website.
ViaMarzo – Kitchen and Wine
Mediterranean cuisine lovers will rejoice at the presence of ViaMarzo – Kitchen and Wine, located at 854 March Rd Unit 6.
A perfect place for date nights, catch ups with friends, or corporate dinners, the restaurants menu offers a wide array of wine options alongside pasta dishes, pizzas, seafood and steak.
TimeSaver Foods
Suburban residents tend to live busy lives, jumping from sports practices to school activities and corporate functions. If you’re looking for a timesaver, this local business will be a lifeline.
Conveniently named TimeSafer Foods, the home-cooked, comfort food service was founded in 2000, and can be found at 350 Terry Fox Dr Suite 101.
“Our dishes are planned and prepared with fresh, healthy ingredients and care,” the company’s website reads. “The meals are packaged and frozen into individual portions, making them easy to pop into a microwave, or place in the oven, then they are ready-to-eat right out of the container.”
Cake by Day
Are you passionate about clean, healthy foods? Then Cake by Day is for you! The Mother-Daughter team bakes up delicious treats without sacrificing taste.
“Our cakes have been a labour of love stemming from our own personal journey of managing gluten, dairy, and egg intolerances,” the bakeries website reads. “We only use simple, raw ingredients and natural sweeteners in our cakes to satisfy the sweet tooth while still promoting a healthy diet.”

When Ha Nguyen started Kanata Noodle House, he wanted a place that serves good food for a greater value. That vision was to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere where people can relax and enjoy a meal with their loved ones.
This amazing Asian restaurant can be found at 4049 Carling Ave.
La Maison du Kouign-Amann
Parisian food lovers will enjoy this one! La Maison du Kouign-Amann, located at 101 A Schneider Rd, has a variety of sweet treats to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. They have a commercial kitchen that’s available to rent and offers catering as well.
“As a Parisian, as far back as I can remember, I have always held a passion for cooking.
